O.K., just when you think Hawaii can't get any prettier, we have Lanikai.
It is just around the corner from Kailua Beach Park, but there are no signs to tell you how to get there,
there is no parking lot, if you didn't know it was there, you would drive right by and miss it.
I shouldn't even be telling you this because the Locals love it's somewhat secludedness,
but once you do find your way here, you will never want to leave !!
If my Hawaiian Vocabulary is correct (I speak fluent YorkieHawaiian, you know),
I do believe LANIKAI translates to "Heavenly Sea".
I easily vote Lanikai as one of the most Heavenly Seas in the WORLD !
It has crystal clear sparkling turquoise waters, swaying palm trees,
and two Islands - the Mokuluas - that set the scene to perfection !
Lanikai is protected by an offshore reef,
so the waters are usually calm, and great for swimming or snorkeling.
Other activities that go on at Lanikai are Kayaking, Sailing,
Windsurfing, and Outrigger Canoeing.
"Hey Mama ! Can we take this one out for a spin around da Mokuluas ?"
I can't believe Mom & Dad didn't bring MY Kayak
Don't they know I am da YAKIN' YORKIE ?!?!
Look at those guys out there havin' so much fun !
